T. J. Connolly

T. J. Connolly brings over 30 years of public relations, public affairs and marketing executive level experience to his position at HollyHills.
A 1985 graduate of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, upon graduation, Connolly began his career as Director of Corporate Communications for the Benson Management Company. The Benson Management Company was the holding company for entrepreneur Tom Benson’s 35 auto dealerships, five banks and the NFL franchise New Orleans Saints. In that role, Connolly reported directly to the Chairman, attended all NFL Owner’s Meetings and prepped and attended 25 monthly Board of Directors meetings for Benson’s interests. He also lobbied on Capital Hill regarding NFL anti-trust issues.
In 1989, Connolly was recruited to Time Warner in San Antonio as their Vice President of Public Affairs. At the time, Paragon Cable in San Antonio was the 7th largest cable system in the United States. In his role with the cable system, Connolly launched public affairs divisions at Time Warner’s San Antonio, Minneapolis, Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles operations. From 1995 – 1997, Connolly served as Chairman of the Texas Cable Television Association. In that role, Connolly aggressively lobbied the Texas House and Senate on competition and telephony issues.
In 1998, after spending nearly a decade with the cable system, Connolly founded his own marketing firm Connolly Communication Strategies, LLC, to meet the needs for clients in a variety of industries ranging from banking, commercial real estate development, new home community developments to health care, just to name a few.
It was through Connolly Communication Strategies that T. J. first began work as a consultant with HollyHills on their commercial real estate ventures in San Antonio. That relationship grew and expanded to additional work with HollyHills at some of their California projects. After consulting with HollyHills for nearly a decade, T. J. officially joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2015.
In his role at HollyHills, T. J. is focused on the new Mid-Century Modern custom home program in Palm Springs, California, as well as working closely with HollyHills CEO and founder Daniel Bailey in the company’s luxury apartment home development program as well as a new tack home program in Hanford, California. HollyHills plans to replicate and expand the luxury apartment homes and new boutique home track programs throughout the Central California market.
