San Antonio, TX. HollyHills Development is proud to announce its recent sponsorship of NASCAR during the Grand National Division West Series event held September 9 at the California Speedway in Fontana, California. The company sponsored veteran driver Andrew Myers, team manger for Myers Racing Team, which was recently ranked ninth in the West Series Thunderhill Raceway at the Texas Speedway in Ft. Worth, Texas.
NASCAR has been experiencing a recent facelift as it has realigned its regional touring divisions to create a two-tier driver developmental system. The NASCAR Grand National Division was the original name of what is now called the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. Rule changes to the weight, engine, tires, wheelbase and other areas were implemented in 2003 to establish uniformity between these the two historic series.
The Busch North Series was formed in 1987 and has traditionally competed at race tracks throughout the East Coast. The West Series, on the other hand, is the oldest stock car racing circuit, entering its 52nd season in 2005.
